Chat with JetBlue (more or less)
Me: So the problem I'm having is that I triple-checked the date I put into your website before clicking 'Submit' and because the confirmation screen on the site said the correct date I didn't even think to look at the emailed receipt until today, when I was checking what time I would be landing. It has me on a flight a week later.
Jet Blue Customer Service Manager: I understand, but when you make a mistake and don't call us within 2 hours we already have it in the system and have to charge $100 to change the flight.
Me: But it wasn't my mistake. I had someone else sitting here with me when I bought the ticket, and it was for the 26th. The confirmation screen said the exact same date. This is your error and my ticket price is being double because of it.
Jet Blue Customer Service Manager: I'm sorry, but this is a common problem, and when you accidentally select the wrong date for your flight, we have to charge you $100 to change it.
Me: I didn't select the wrong date.
Jet Blue Customer Service Manager: Would you like to pay the fee and make the change here, or on the website?
Me: Well I definitely don't want to do it on the site.
A strategy session gone horribly wrong (or incredibly right)! Starring Colin Wright from exilelifestyle.com and Kristin Norris from findyourselflost.com
